Business, Markets and Industry
DailyBusiness.News reports on markets, industry and the companies and people shaping them. We publish explanatory business journalism: what a decision means, who it affects and what it costs, rather than rewritten press releases.
We cover the macro picture, from market moves and the economy to sector shifts, alongside the operating reality of running a business: funding, hiring, regulation, marketing and growth. The founders and executives behind those decisions are part of the story, not a separate one.
How we work
Articles here are researched and written rather than aggregated. Where a claim rests on a specific figure, filing or decision, we check it against primary reporting before it publishes. We do not run articles built from a single aggregator.
We do not fabricate interviews, quotes or figures. If we have not spoken to someone, we do not imply that we have. Where a piece is analysis rather than reporting, it reads as analysis.
Business features
Alongside our reporting we publish paid features about small and growing businesses, filed in the section that fits the business. These are commercial placements: a business pays to have its story told here. They are written to the same standard as everything else on the site and are identified as features.
Paying for a feature does not buy coverage in our news reporting, and it does not buy a favourable verdict in it. Editorial decisions are made by the desk.
